Coastal care. The slats are coated to resist rust, but near the sea regular care matters. Wipe slats with a damp cloth often, and rinse the blind down periodically to clear salt (a hosepipe — or even car wash-and-wax — works well; let it dry fully before raising). Silver, gold, pure-aluminium and exotic-colour slats aren't recommended for coastal or damp areas. Venetians are made for light control, so you may see through them at some angles, and on very long blinds the lowest slats may not close as snugly — this is normal. Damage from incorrect handling (windows left open, very close to the sea, damp areas, or lack of cleaning) isn't covered by the guarantee.
